Jordan Egypt Holiday
DAY 1 – Your Jordan and Egypt Trip Begins
When you arrive for your 14-Day Jordan Egypt Holiday, your tour manager will be at Cairo International Airport to meet and greet you, and to assist you in any way possible. Then, in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will be staying during your time in Cairo.
When you reach the hotel, your tour manager will assist with check-in, and then he or she will discuss the following day’s activities with you, and confirm a pick up time. After this, you will have the rest of the day and/or evening to yourself. You can either relax at the hotel, or else you can head out to explore your surroundings and maybe have a nice dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2 – Visit the Giza Pyraminds, Sakkara, and Memphis
Today is the day your Egypt to Jordan trip begins in earnest, so be sure to enjoy a nice hearty breakfast at your hotel before you are due to be picked up. At the time confirmed with you yesterday, you will be collected, and then you will travel to the famous Giza Plateau to see Egypt’s most famous ancient monuments, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
While at this site, you will also have the chance to explore the Valley Temple, and visit the area’s Solar Boat Museum. However, your Jordan Egypt Holiday package does not include a ticket for the museum, but tickets are available at the site. Once your tour of this site ends, you will then be taken for lunch at a good nearby restaurant.
After lunch, you will travel to the Sakkara Complex, another ancient necropolis where you will be able to see the very first pyramid ever built, the Djoser Step Pyramid. The very first pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians were all step pyramids. There are also a number of other fascinating pyramids to see at Sakkara, so you can be sure that this stop will be just as amazing as your visit to the Giza Plateau.
Next, you will travel to Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom. Today, Memphis is most famous for its vast necropolis and its abundance of ancient ruins. Once you have finished exploring the area, you will then make your way back to your hotel, and you will have the evening to yourself.

DAY 3 – Extensive Cairo Sightseeing Tour
Today once again begins with a wonderful hotel breakfast, and then at the agreed time, you will be picked up for a full day of spectacular sightseeing in and around Cairo.
In the company of one of our drivers and a private guide, you will first head to the famous Egyptian Museum which is home to nearly a quarter of a million artifacts, including a stunning collection which was retrieved from the tomb of King Tutankhamen. This particular collection is on display in the Treasures Room, and entry to this room is included in your 14-Day Jordan Egypt Holiday package.
The museum also has a Mummies Room which houses a number of authentic Egyptian mummies, all of which are kept in specially designed displays in order to maintain their preservation. We are not able to include tickets to this room in our tours, but tickets are available at the museum if you want to go into the room where the mummies are kept.
After you have had ample time to explore the museum, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for lunch, and then your tour will continue. First, you will visit the imposing Cairo Citadel, including the spectacular Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. This mosque is open to visitors of all faiths so feel free to stroll around inside to take some stunning photos.
Your next stop will be at Coptic Cairo where you will enjoy a visit to two fascinating sites, the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Hanging Church.
Finally, you will be driven to one of Cairo’s most famous and most loved landmarks, the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar where traders have been selling their wares ever since 1382.
With plenty of sightseeing behind you, and with the day drawing to an end, you will be taken back to your hotel where you will be staying for your last night in Egypt’s vibrant capital.

DAY 4 – Sightseeing Tour in Aswan
At the agreed time, your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you from your hotel; they will assist you with check-out, and then you will travel to the airport in time for you to board a short flight to Aswan. When you arrive in Aswan, one of our tour representatives will be standing by to meet you and assist you in any way they can, and then you will be taken to see three prominent historical sites: the Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae, and the Unfinished Obelisk.
The Aswan High Dam may not be an ancient monument, but it is nonetheless a truly remarkable site which never fails to amaze the millions of people who visit it each year.
The highlight of today’s tour is will no doubt be your visit to the Temple of Philae. This beautifully preserved temple was moved in its entirety from its original location in order to save it from disappearing below the water following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. When the temple was first built, the ground on which is stood, along with the temple itself, was the most sacred site in all of Egypt.
Finally, you will enjoy a relatively brief stop at the old northern stone quarries to see the massive Unfinished Obelisk, the biggest obelisk ever discovered. After your stop here, you will then make your way to the hotel in Aswan were you will be spending the 4th night of your trip.

DAY 5 – Abu Simbel Tour and Nile Cruise Embarkation
Day 5 of your Jordan Egypt holiday begins with a very early start. Since you will be checking out and leaving your hotel before breakfast is served, you will be given a breakfast box instead. Then, at 03h30 you will be picked up, and you will be taken on a 3-hour drive to see the utterly indescribable Abu Simbel temples of Ramesses II and his wife. No amount of words can even begin to describe just how amazing these rock-hewn temples actually are.
After you have had ample time to explore this fantastic site, you will then be transferred to the area where you will be boarding a luxury 5-Star Nile River cruise ship. Shortly after boarding, lunch will be served, and then you can spend the rest of the afternoon as you wish. A fine dinner will be served in the early evening, and you will be spending your first night in your luxurious cabin on the quiet waters of the Nile.

DAY 6 – Sightseeing at Kom Ombo and Edfu, and Overnight at Esna
Today your cruise ship will depart early and you will enjoy a lovely breakfast while it is sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival, you will disembark and you will be taken to see Sobek Temple in Kom Ombo, a fascinating ancient temple that was dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Haeroris. You will then return to the ship, and it will travel towards Edfu, with a delicious lunch being served on board along the way.
Shortly after lunch you will once again disembark, this time for a visit to Horus Temple in Edfu. This temple was buried beneath the sand for more than 2,000 years, and as a result, it is today the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. After spending some time at this site, you will return to the ship, and it will sail to Esna with afternoon tea being served along the way.
Enjoy another wonderful on-board dinner in the early evening, and enjoy another good night’s sleep on the Nile at Esna.

DAY 7 – Luxor West Bank Monument Tour
After enjoying another hearty breakfast on board the ship, you will disembark, and then you will be taken to see the three most famous ancient sites on Luxor’s West Bank.
Your first stop will be at the Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal necropolis where more than 60 tombs have been discovered, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen which still contained his mummy when it was discovered.
Next, you will be taken to visit the absolutely awe-inspiring mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will enjoy a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will return to the ship in time for an excellent lunch.
With some wonderful sightseeing behind, you will have the afternoon to yourself for relaxing. Enjoy afternoon tea and a good dinner on the ship, and get a good night’s sleep on board the vessel at Luxor.

DAY 8 – Luxor East Bank Tour and Flight to Sharm El Sheikh
After you have had time to enjoy a good breakfast, you will check-out from your Nile cruise, and after disembarkation, you will be taken to visit two spectacular ancients sites: Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple complex, both of which are located on Luxor’s East bank.
You will then be transferred to Luxor Airport where you will be boarding a flight to Sharm El Sheikh for some quality time on the Red Sea coast. When you arrive at the airport at Sharm El Sheikh, one of our tour managers will be there to meet you, and then they will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying.
There are no further activities planned for this day of your trip, so enjoy a lovely relaxing afternoon at your hotel or on the beach

DAY 9 – Red Sea Snorkeling Trip
If you enjoy snorkeling and swimming in crystal clear waters that are teaming with exotic fist and other marine life, the day 9 of your Jordan Egypt Holiday is going to be a very special day for you.
After you enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel, you will then be picked up, and you will travel to the Ras Mohammed National Park for some spectacular snorkeling opportunities. The sheer diversity and abundance of the sea life here, along with the crystal clear water, never fails to amaze anyone who looks beneath the surface of the water.
After a wonderful few hours at the Park, you will then travel back to your hotel for a good lunch and a lazy afternoon which you can enjoy as you wish before retiring for the night in your lhotel room.

DAY 10 – Free Time or Optional Sharm El Sheikh Sightseeing Tour
Since this is essentially your last day in Egypt, no tours or excursions have been scheduled so that you can enjoy the day as you wish on the Red Sea coast. However, if you do want to enjoy another day of sightseeing, we offer a number of optional Sharm El Sheikh trips, but these are not included in the price of our Jordan Egypt Holiday package.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, and then have the rest of the day to yourself.
Alternatively, if you opt for our recommended optional tour, you will be picked up shortly after breakfast and then you will head to the Monastery of St. Catherine which is located at the foot of Gebel Musa (Mount Moses). The monastery is a truly delightful site with plenty to see, and it is also home to the world’s second largest collection of illuminated manuscripts after the Vatican.

DAY 11 – Flight to Amman and Leisure Time
Today, a new chapter in your Jordan Egypt Holiday trip begins. Once you have had time to enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your tour manager will arrive at the agreed time; he will get you checked out from the hotel, and then he will escort you to the airport where you will board your flight to Amman in Jordan.
On arrival at the airport in Amman, you will once again be met and assisted, and then in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will be staying during your time in Amman.
There are no activities scheduled for this day of your trip, so once you have checked in at the hotel, and once a pick up time for the following day has been confirmed, you will have the rest of the day free. Spend the day relaxing at your hotel, or head out and begin exploring downtown Amman on foot.

DAY 12 – Visit Mount Nebo, Madaba, and the Dead Sea
Day 12 of your Jordan Egypt holiday is going to be a long and exciting day, so enjoy a good heart breakfast at the hotel when you wake up.
Shortly after breakfast you will be picked up, and you will then travel to Mount Nebo, the alleged burial place of Moses, and also the place where he was when he first saw the Promised Land. While here, you will visit an old monastery as well where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and even Jerusalem.
You will then travel to Madaba, the city of mosaics, where you will visit the extremely beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St. George to see a spectacular 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land that consists of around 2 million individual vividly colored stones.
Next, you will travel to the Dead Sea for a wonderful afternoon where you can cover yourself in the famous mineral-rich mud and float of the Dead Sea’s super-salty water.
Finally, with an fun-filled day behind you, you will be driven back to your hotel in Amman where you will be spending the night.

DAY 13 – Visit the Rose Red City of Petra
Today’s outing is going to involve a lot of walking, so be sure to have a good hearty breakfast at your hotel, and arm yourself with a comfortable pair of shoes.
Despite all the walking, it is also going to be one of the most memorable days of your Jordan Egypt holiday because you will be visiting one of the most breathtaking ancient monuments under the sun, the Rose Red City of Petra.
Located about a 2.5-hour drive away from Amman, Petra is an ancient city that was carved into the rock faces of a long and incredibly deep gorge/canyon by the Nabatean Arabs, beginning sometime during the 6th century. While there is an abundance of things to see here, the most popular and most spectacular features are the city’s Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, the Pharaohs Castle, and the indescribable Treasury.
The site is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is also listed as one on the New World Wonders. It is without question the best ancient attraction in the country, and one which you will never forget.
After so much sightseeing and so much walking, sit back in air-conditioned comfort while you travel back to your hotel for the final night of your once in a lifetime Egyptand Jordan trip.

DAY 14 – Jordan Egypt Holiday Ends and Final Departure
Sadly, your Jordan Egypt Holiday package ends today, but before you go anywhere, first enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast at your hotel. At the appropriate time, our tour representative will meet you at the hotel, and then he will accompany you to the airport in time for your flight out of Jordan.
When you reach the airport, he will assist you in any way he can, and then it will be time for the two of you to bid each other farewell. Your Jordan and Egypt vacation will have come to an end, but you will have memories of these two countries which you will be able to cherish for the rest of your life.
