Cairo and Siwa Oasis Tour
Day 1: Arrive in Egypt for Cairo and Siwa Oasis Tour
When you arrive at Cairo International Airport for the beginning of your day Siwa Oasis tour, one of our tour managers will be standing by to meet you and to assist you, and then you will be escorted to the hotel in Cairo where you will be staying for the night.
Once you get to the hotel, your tour manager will discuss your tour itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for the following day’s tour, and then you would have the reminder of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum
Begin the 2nd day of your Siwa Oasis tour package with a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the time which was confirmed with you yesterday, your Egyptologist tour guide will meet you at your hotel and you will be taken to see Egypt’s most famous monument, the Great Pyramids of Giza. While at this site, you will also be able to see the iconic Sphinx and the ancient Valley Temple.
After exploring the pyramids, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for some lunch before making your way to the Egyptian Museum which is home to hundreds of thousands of ancient artifacts, including all the treasures and relics that were discovered in the Tomb of King Tutankhamun when it was discovered in Valley of the Kings in the early 20th century. Once you’ve had ample time to explore the museum, you will then be driven back to your hotel and you will have the reminder of the day to yourself.
If you would like some professional photographs taken of yourself at the pyramids, we can arrange for a professional photographer to accompany us to the pyramids for a fee of $150. For this money, you will have your own professional personal photographer for two hours, and you will receive a minimum of 20 professionally edited printed photographs, along with a memory stick containing a minimum of 100 professionally edited digital photographs.

Day 3: Cairo to Alamein and on to the Siwa Oasis
Today gets off to an early start which will see you checking out from your hotel at 06h00 because today your Siwa Oasis tour really gets going. At the time which was confirmed with you yesterday, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel and then you will make your way to Alamein which is about a 3-hour drive away from Cairo.
When you reach Alamein, you will be taken to see the World War II Museum and the cemetery of the many soldiers who died during the great battle which took place here during World War II. After spending some time at Alamein, you will then make your way to the Siwa Oasis, passing by the spectacularly beautiful city of Marsa Matrouh. On arrival at the Siwa Oasis. You will be taken to check in at the beautifully appointed 4-Star Ghaliet Eco Lodge and Spa where you will be spending the next few nights of your Siwa Oasis tour.

Day 4: Sightseeing at Siwa Oasis
Begin the 4th day of your Siwa Oasis tour experience with a good breakfast at your hotel, and then you will be taken to visit the Old City of Siwa, also known as Shali. After spending some time at the Old City, you will then be driven to see the wonderful Alexander Temple at Aghurmi Village. This particular temple was dedicated to the god Amon and dates back to the 26th Dynasty.
Next, you will make your way to Amun Ra Temple at Um Ubeydabefore, after which you will be visiting the Cleopatra Spring. Finally, you will be taken to visit to the Siwa House Museum, and then later in the day you will be taken to enjoy a truly magnificent sunset at Fitnas Island before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Siwa Desert Tour and Bir Wahid Hot Spring
Today once again begins with a good breakfast at your hotel, after which you will make your way to the Siwa Desert. Along the way, you will stop at Meraki Village before continuing across the desert to an area which is home to the world’s oldest footprint. From here, you will then continue making your way through the sand dunes until you reach what is often referred to as the “fossil area” which is a large barren area where you can see many old coral reefs which date back to the Cambrian era.
Finally, you will be driven to another hot spring where you will have plenty of time to relax and unwind, and even swim in the salt and freshwater before heading back to your hotel later in the afternoon for another relaxing night.

Day 6: Mountain of the Dead and Siwan Village Experience
Today, your Siwa Oasis tour will see setting out shortly after breakfast again, and your first stop of the day will be at the Mountain of the Dead which is home to countless ancient tombs that date back to the 26th Dynasty. While here, you will be taken to see some of the tombs, including the Tomb of Si-Amun which was discovered in 1940.
After Mountain of the Dead, your Siwa Oasis tour will see you visiting the Dakrour Mountains before moving on to Abu Sherouf. This is a small Siwan village and it is a great place to experience authentic Bedouin lifestyle. You can also enjoy the Roman Spring here for a while, and then you will be driven back to your hotel to enjoy the last night of your Siwa Desert tour.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Cairo and Leisure Time
With your Siwa Oasis tour now over, you will be able to enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast, and then it will be time for check-out and your trip back to Cairo. When you get to Cairo, you will b taken directly to the same hotel where you stayed when you first arrived in Cairo for your 8-day Siwa Oasis tour package. Once you have checked in, you will then have the remainder of the day to enjoy as you wish.

Day 8: Siwa Oasis Tour Package Ends
Sadly, your 8-day Siwa Oasis tour package has now come to an end, but before you go anywhere, first enjoy a nice breakfast at your hotel. At the appropriate time, you will need to check-out from the hotel, and then your tour manager and one of our drivers will meet you and transfer you to the airport in time for your flight back home.
Once at the airport, you will again be assisted in any way possible, but after this it will be time for saying goodbye and for wishing you a very safe and pleasant onward journey
